July 27 – 29
This will be The Hunt‘s first Convention! After months of preparing and getting ready for conventions, it all comes down to this! Let’s get together and have some cross-provincial fun! The Hunt RPG is excited to go to Burlington, Ontario, and mingle with all the wonderful people who have made this convention possible! As well, the talented and wonderful Kudrel will be joining us as T.C. Lemieux! Come by and say hi!
ConBravo was such a great success for The Hunt Roleplaying Game! We met some great gamers, played with some vivid and imaginative players, and networked with other wicked-awesome people! The costumes were vivid and fantastic, and the environment was absolutely positive! Thank you to Brandon, one of the finest staff members at a convention I’ve ever dealt with!
August 23 – 26
Wow. Talk about a short-notice event! This was an after-thought once I was talking to a few people from ConBravo, but now it’s made into reality! I have my own table for the four days, and I’ll be in the Games Room with X. Faust helping me along! I’ll try to give a few demo’s while I’m there! Come and support The Hunt in Toronto!
So, for a convention that was last minute for The Hunt turned out to be one wicked experience! Although I didn’t get a chance to go out into any of the main areas of the convention to check out some panels, I soaked in the con-life and talked to some wonderful people! It was definitely an experience I won’t soon forget! Thanks to Justin for accommodating me, thanks to a few people for giving me fantastic ideas, and thanks to Nate who picked up the game and played it in line to a panel! Watch out for those ghostly werewolves, man! We’ll see you all next year!
September 22 and 23
I’ve always wanted to go to this convention, but one thing or another kept me away. Now, I finally get a chance. Come and cheer on your favourite Admin! If you are a hockey fan, Peterborough, Ontario is home to the Peterborough Petes! Go Petes Go!
What do Toronto, Buffalo and Montreal all have in common? Rivalries with the Ottawa Senators and conventions for The Hunt Rpg!
For a one-day affair, The Hunt is off to Montreal, Quebec to help them raise awareness to increase numbers, interest and all sorts of good stuff so that they can have a 2-day event in April! Come on out and help support the increase of geek-dom!
Although the moment has gone by, it is only fair to update this list. The Hunt RPG was not in attendance for Geekothon, as much as we would have liked to have been there, and we hope that it was a successful convention for all in attendance!
November 2 – 4
On the other side of the province, on the other side of Toronto, there is a little town. You might have heard of it: Hamilton! Located about 2 hours away from Toronto, it plays host to the vicious rivals of the Toronto Argonauts, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats! Having come from, and having relatives in Toronto, I’ve learned to branch out. Go Ti-Cats!
But let’s not overlook one very important detail about HammerCon: According to its website, it is the largest gaming convention in Souther Ontario. Which means that The Hunt RPG is going to be exposed to some of the biggest and brightest stars of that part of the province, and more than likely nearby United States! Cheer on and give The Hunt some luck with this one! It’s going to be fun!
Because of situations beyond my control, The Hunt RPG is unable to attend HammerCon this year, and apologize for skipping out. We would have enjoyed to be a part of this fantastic convention back on the other side of the province!

List of Events for 2013
These are activities that are currently being planned for 2013, and some have not been finalized or set into motion.
A home-grown experience. The first convention in Ottawa for The Hunt RPG. Let’s do the home town proud! Thankfully this is right in my back yard, so I don’t have to go too far. Yay for free accommodations and no killer travelling expenses!
March 1 – 3, 2013
I remember watching the Argos practice in Gryphon Stadium, several years ago. And after speaking to the coordinator of the convention, I am able to head back to the Home of the Gryphons in Guelph at the University of Guelph! When I was growing up in Guelph, we called it the U of Moo!
March 1 – 3, 2013
Due to time restraints and the inability to separate myself into multiple parts, I had to sadly back out of this convention in lieu of another. It is regretful that I had to do this, and it wasn’t something I was looking forward to doing.
However! If you’re in the area, I highly suggest you attend and have fun while you’re there!
Buffalo, New York
Hockey rivalries aside, this will be an exciting convention to go to! Let’s just not talk Sabres vs Sens, okay?
May 17 – 19, 2013
Back to enjoy some home-grown, local talent! I’ll be receiving more information next January, but as it stands, it’s confirmed and a go!
Back to Burlington! 2012 was such a success for The Hunt Roleplaying Game, and the convention enjoyed having us so much, we’re returning for another road-trip! We’ll see you in ’13!
August 16 – 19, 2013
The big one. Indisputably one of the single-largest role-playing games conventions in North America. According to the GenCon Wiki:
“Gen Con 2011 brought in 36,733 attendees, which makes the convention similar in size to Dragon Con and FanExpo’s Game Expo, larger than Origins (14,000+), and smaller than E3 (40,000+)”
And you betchur sweet boopie I’m going!
