Over the course of about five years, the Crews of The Hunt have been involved in a Live-Action Role-Playing Game based on White Wolf's Vampire: The Masquerade. Over those five years, the game grew from a paltry 10-person game, to over fifty people. It has changed ownership from one Storyteller, to myself, to the Deviant. We have seen players come, go, and return again. We have seen our fair share of anger, tears, excitement and joy.
As of Sunday, July 15th 2012, Ottawa by Night closed its doors for good. Many people will speculate as to what transpired to have the Deviant make this decision, but inevitably it was one that took many hours of discussion and was not taken lightly. In any event, there will people that will be missed, characters that have yet to reach their potential and story-lines that were just too way-cool to be forgotten.
Five years is a long time to simply put something away, but I don't think I'll be doing any large, long-term LARP's any time soon. Instead, small table-top and "simple" 1-shot games are all I have in me at present. Which isn't a bad thing! I can ...
